Lenten Series: “Bread for the Journey”

This year our Lenten series is called “Bread for the Journey: A High-Carb, Multi-Sensory Lenten Worship Series.” Each Wednesday we will explore a different scripture passage about bread and how that bread still feeds our lives today. And there’s a good chance you may actually be able to smell and taste the day’s theme each week. Morning services are followed by a soup lunch, and evening serves are preceded by a soup supper. All are welcome. We share Lenten worship with Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, so make sure to check the worship schedule for worship times and places.

Maple Sugar Fest

Welty Environmental Center will hold Maple Sugar Fest on Saturday, March 13th, from 11-2, at Big Hill Park. You can come see how sap is collected and how the sap is cooked over a wood stove in a really big flat pan to evaporate the water. (Did you know that it takes 30 -40 gallons of sap to make just ONE gallon of Maple Syrup?) Take a horse drawn wagon ride and enjoy the all-you-can eat pancake meal with sausage, applesauce, coffee, hot chocolate, and of course, REAL maple syrup!

Did You Know ??

We are blessed to have many volunteers at St. Paul. Do you know someone who volunteers their time and talents at St. Paul? Let us know so we can publicly thank them here! If we list a group of volunteers and we miss your name, let us know!

** Thank you to Karen Saudargas for doing the Kidz Korner every week. The adults enjoy it just as much as the kids do! It is such a pleasure to see all those children on the altar, eager to hear the Word of God.

** Thank you to Joyce Buske: Joyce purchases and changes the flowers in the bud vases on the tables in the Fellowship Hall each season. Thank you for making our tables look so nice!

** Thank you to Bill and Beth Rodermel for delivering all the offering envelopes that were not picked up.
