St. Paul Softball News

Your St. Paul Softball team has experienced an exciting season. After a meager first half and a 2-5 record, they rebounded with a 6-1 second half record for an 8-6 season record.

The year end tournament began on Aug. 19 with St. Paul taking on Hope Blue. After a tight game St. Paul squeezed out a comeback 10-7 victory in 8 innings. St. Paul now moves to the semi-finals on August 27 at 6:30 against Roscoe UMC with the winners advancing to the finals at 8:10.

You can review the entire season on the St. Paul website, stpaulbeloit.org, with a report and stats on every game. Thanks to Roger Neitzel for providing the information. Go St. Paul!

Thank You!

We are blessed to have many volunteers at St. Paul. Do you know someone who volunteers their time and talents at St. Paul? Let us know so we can publicly thank them here!

** Thank you to the Money Counters! Leo Upward, Dave Markee, Ron Josh, Dick Bridge, Ivan Eckholm, Don Folts, Bill Rodermel, and Russ Liptow help to count the offering on Monday mornings. Thank you for your faithfulness to this volunteer position at St. Paul. We very much appreciate all you do to be sure the money is accurately recorded.

** Thank you to the office volunteers: Thank you to the many volunteers who help apply labels, fold and seal newsletters, and help with special mailings and seasonal bulletins. There are too many to list, but you are so valuable to me! Thank you also to the volunteers who work in the office while I am on vacation, special thanks to: Jackie Ueland, Virginia Knutson, Judy Engle, Judelle Murphy, and Joann Rosenow who covered the office the first week of August for me.

** Thank you to the Wedding Coordinator: Cyndi Martalock works with all couples who are to get married at St. Paul. She meets with them to determine many aspects of the wedding including bulletins, music, church decorations, and scheduling of weddings. Thanks you for this important ministry at St. Paul.
